Encirclement – Neo – Liberalism Ensnares Democracy, the fruits of nearly twelve year lasting labour, wants to throw light on the true nature of neoliberalism. Richard Brouillette in his many interviews has shown that neoliberalism, although wrapped in a cover of scientific neutrality, is evidently an ideology. An ideology of a new kind, because it is less related to a specific geographical area and historically shaped by networks that supported it so massively that it could become an unparalleled idea apt to draw massive support from all social classes. Encirclement – Neo – Liberalism Ensnares Democracy does not aspire to be an anti-capitalist pamphlet, as it may be believed; it rather urges with questions of possible dangers of a political idea of merely economic nature, which does not go any longer arm in arm with ethical aspect.
